joelthecat.diaryland.com Homeslicing So yeah, after that weekend, things have been in "recovery" mode. I worked all day on my final stuff on Sunday, got it done around 9 pm, before coming home and collapsing an hour and a half later. Monday- I spoke to Ashleigh online, and she came over soon after.. we hung out around my house, she told me she broke up with her boyfriend (awwh)... and I told her about my crazy weekend, in detail... we then hooked up and met Jesse, and went to McDonalds' on Southside, where I wore one of her cowboy hats to be odd when I placed my order and ate. We hit up Best Buy, and I again drooled over one of the employees in the Audio section- this time, I got a *smile* out of him, before backing away like a scared little girl.. and bought two CDs- Pizzicato Five, and Deee-Lite. Pizzacato is really hyper crazy Japanese goodness... but afterward, I have to listen to acoustic music or very slow stuff- because it's SO insane, I need cool off time. Since Deee-Lite is similar, it's been kinda pushed to the sidelines. It seems like Ace of Base kinda cheesiness sometimes... I shall give it time for me to appreciate it on that level though. "Want to see you hazy, dazed and confused, want to see you come, completely used, want to give you something, forever and true" -Semisonic Yesterday.. I um.. hell. I dunno. I think I worked a lot. Yes, yes, that's what I did. I was at work a long, long time, but managed to get a terrificly little amount of work done. The phone was "broken" in the morning, as no one figured out that the Do Not Disturb button was pushed on- and so it wasn't ringing. The computer also freaked out downstairs, so I got to watch as the tech dude acted all tech-y, and still got nothing accomplished. This makes me feel a little better in my PC repair ventures. And I wound up going to lunch with my co-workers to Popeye's... and reading Wizard magazine. That is, rather than that filing stuff they hired me for. Work is good. Oooh, and that night, I spoke to the guy who I kissed during Truth or Dare- Anthony. We have been speakin a bit online- he is 17, 'bout to turn 18, and wants to get into fashion at SCAD. We both make obscure references to things that go over each other's heads... and we're both weird. I'll keep me posted :-). Today... I took my final exam- which seemed to go fine. I said bye bye to Susan, and we agreed we needed to do dinner or something before she left town for good... I then went home, as Dave was supposed to drop by with my keys, and I didn't want him to steal my stove or something. Played lotsa video games... I tried making peace with Dr. Mario on my Dreamcast NES emulator.. played some No Mercy.. then watched Office Space after a nap, and ordering a pizza. Office Space was okay- but very un-Earth Shattering... much like anything else by Mike Judge. The best scene by far was them beating the living hell out of a fax machine- that was fun. I spoke to Elizabeth, and we agreed we needed to hang out... so I headed to her place soon after. A trip to Papa John's and Blockbuster later- they rented some movies, I bought Conker's Bad Fur Day, used, for 20 bucks (whooo hoo!!). I also bought Elizabeth Magnolia, cuz she wanted it, and it was really cheap, and I figured I owed her. Oh, and at some point during the Blockbuster trip, I realized that I'm really gay. My defensive "must act straight walls" are coming down a bit... and ya know what- fuck it! So, went back to their pad, and watched Chocolat while nursing two Gin and Tonic's, which is becoming a preferred Chaz drink... Chocolat was also very, very good; I enjoyed it, as well as the soundtrack, and recommend a viewing- for once, Damien didn't let me down in recommending a movie :-). I am now home... writing this sub-par post... and Jesse, minutes ago, invited me to go to Baton Rouge with him over break, on Sunday. His mom wouldn't be there.. so it'd be just him, me, and his 16 (15?) year old sister. This could be very interesting, I think I'm going to agree to go, unless something major cool comes up instead. Wheee! I believe I shall go relive Spring Break now, and play Daft Punk and Conker's at the same time. Oh yes! Nostalgia is capable for even so-so times. Bye-ee! "One more time, we're gonna celebrate, oh yeah, all right, don't stop the dancing!" -Daft Punk

Reason for Terror # 82: Using phrase "da bomb" unwittingly in phone tapped conversations could lead to arrest and beatings by the FBI, local authorities, and hip police. Reason for Terror # 81: There was a little bit of mold on that bread you had this morning. Reason for Terror # 80: When evening falls, you can try to drive away; but the moon will be following... always following...
